Day 2 Urumqi /Fuyun

Today's Activities: visit the Heavenly Lake, Flaming Hills

Detail Itinerary:
After breakfast we visit the Heavenly Lake which is surrounded by alpine meadows and rugged snow-capped mountains densely covered in fir, pine and cypress.The altitude of the lake is up to 2150 meters above the sea level and got its fame as the "jewel in the crown". To the east of the lake stands the Bogda Peak-the highest peak in the east part of Tian Shan Mountain, which is capped by glacier and snow glistening in the sun, finely contrasted with blue lake water, forming fabulous scenery,steep forested hills and high meadows with snow peaks behind. Enjoy your lake cruise. In the afternoon we drive to Fuyun, en route pass Flaming Hills where the rocks still shine during sunrise and sunset, hence the name Flaming Hills. En route you’ll also pass Kalamaili Wild Animals Reserve where you can see wild asses, antelopes, wild camels etc.

Day 3 Fuyun/Altai/Kanas Lake

Detail Itinerary:
After breakfast we drive to the Kanas Lake. Kanas means beautiful ,rich and mysterious. It’s 24 km long and 2 km wide, the color changes from time to time, sometimes blue ,sometimes green…En route to the lake , we’ll also visit Dragon Bay , Moon Bay , and Sage’s Bay. Enjoy your lake cruise...

Day 4 Kanas/Burjin

Place & Transport: Urumqi -Fuyun, Bus
Today's Activities: visit the Fish Observing Pavilion, local Mongolian ethnic tribe- Tuwa

Detail Itinerary:
In the morning you’ll climb the Fish Observing Pavilion from where you’ll see the whole area of Kanas, it is on the hilltop of Luotuo Hump, and is the best place to watching monster, the fish living in Kanas Lake, so it got its name as Fish-Watching pavilion, we can feast our eyes on almost the whole beautiful Kanas lake there. Then you’ll also visit the home of local Mongolian ethnic tribe-Tuwa, one of the most ancient nomads in the north of China, and the language they use is one of rare languages existing in China, our guide will introduce you the mysterious of this old tribe.

Day 5 Burjin/Kuitun

Today's Activities: visit the Multi-Colored Rocks Bay, Ghost Town, Karamay Oilfield

Detail Itinerary:
After breakfast you’ll visit the Multi-Colored Rocks Bay where you’ll find the rocks in many colors. In the afternoon visit the Wuerhe Ghost Town where the rocks become many shapes because of erosion. You’ll also have the chance to see the Oil Derricks of Karamay Oilfield.

Day 6 Kuitun/Yining

Place & Transport: Kuitun-Yining, Bus
Today's Activities: visit the Sairam Lake

Detail Itinerary:
After breakfast you’ll drive to Yining which has the reputation as a garden city. En route you’ll visit the Sairam Lake which is surrounded by snow-capped mountains link with green grasses. The mountains are covered by pine and wild fruit trees.

Day 7 Yining/Narat

Today you’ll visit the Narat Pasture which is regarded as one of the biggest river bank pastures in the world. Here you’ll find the vast primitive forests and pastures .

Day 8 Narat/Jinghe

Today's Activities: drive to Jinghe via express highway, enjoy the changing scenery of desert , oasis and cotton fields

Day 9 Jinghe/Turpan

Today's Activities: visit the Dabancheng Wind Power Plant, enjoy a Uygur dance performance

Today you’ll drive to Turpan –the hottest and the lowest place in China. En route you’ll pass the Asia’s biggest Dabancheng Wind Power Plant where praised by ancient poets for its beautiful landscape and girls.Here You’ll have the chance to taste the mare’s nipples grapes and white seedless grapes, you may take a seat under the vintage frames, savor various grapes, enjoy the beautiful Uyghur girls in their ornate costumes, and be fully intoxicated by this refreshing palace of grapes.In the evening enjoy a Uygur dance performance at the hotel. Move your eyebrows, head and shoulders and dance to the tambourine music with the Uygur boys and girls.

Day 10 Turpan

Place & Transport: Urumqi -Fuyun, Bus
Today's Activities: visit the Flaming Mountains, Karez Irrigation System, the 3000 years old Jiaohe Ancient City

Detail Itinerary:
Today you’ll visit the 100-km long Flaming Mountains. The rocks shine under the strong sun, hence the name Flaming Mountains. Ancient poets describe that flying birds stay 500-li away from the Flaming Mountains. Then visit the Grape Valley where all the villagers grow grapes. Here You’ll have the chance to taste the mare’s nipples grapes and white seedless grapes. In the afternoon visit the Karez Irrigation System-one of the greatest ancient public work projects in China. Then visit the 3000 years old Jiaohe Ancient City which is surrounded by two rivers. In Jiaohe the streets, dwellings, Buddhist Pagodas and office buildings.

Day 11 Turpan/Korla

Place & Transport: Turpan-Korla, Bus
Today's Activities: visit the the Bostan lake, the night market

Detail Itinerary:
Drive to Korla, the capital of the largest prefecture in China. Korla is also the home of sweet, fragrant pearls in China. En route Visit the Bostan lake – the biggest fresh water lake in China,high mountains around, the weather is changeable, the reeds, birds, and lotuses make the scenery of the sunrise or sunset here full fill with poetic and artistic conception, so it is really a good place for the photographers to create new works.. and then we will go to the night market, where there are many pepole strolling out in the busy street at night, and taste the delicious roast fish.

Day 12 Korla/Kucha: Place & Transport: Korla-Kucha, Bus
Today's Activities: visit the Iron Gate Pass, the ruins of the city of Subashi, the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Quici

In the morning visit the Iron Gate Pass- one of the important stopover on the ancient Silk Road. Then Drive along 314 state highway to Kucha. In the afternoon you’ll visit the ruins of the city of Subashi, the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Quici.

Day 13 Kucha/Aksu

Today's Activities: visit the Secret Canyon, the Kizil Grottoes

Detail Itinerary:
In the morning visit the Secret Canyon of Tianshan.Canyon trends north-south, and slightly curves to east, spans more than 5000km, and is a rare natural marvelous scenery. Then visit the Kizil Grottoes. The caves once contained some of the finest examples of Buddhist art in Central Asia. Beautiful wall paintings and frescoes depicted Buddhist fables as well as musicians, dancers, and important people of the period. It is really of a great value to the art.

Day 14 Aksu/Kashgar

Place & Transport: Aksu-Kashgar, Bus

Detail Itinerary:
Drive along the edge of the Taklamakan Desert to Kashgar – a city located at the western end of China. This fabled city likes a step back in time to an ancient Central Asian khanate; traditional rhythms of the traders and worshippers.

Day 15 Kashgar: Place & Transport: Aksu-Kashgar, Bus
Today's Activities: visit the Karakul Lake

Detail Itinerary:
Drive along the Sino – Pakistan Friendship Highway in the Pamir Plateau. En route we’ll pass Bulunkul lake. At noon visit the Karakul Lake which is surrounded by majestic snow-capped mountains of Gonger and Muztagh Ata over 20,000 ft. In the afternoon we drive back to Kashgar.

Day 16 Kashgar

Today's Activities: visit the Abakh Hoja’s Tomb, the Id Kah mosque, and the surrounding bazaar

Today Visit Abakh Hoja’s Tomb, the Id Kah mosque, and the surrounding bazaar, a medieval scene of craftsmen making things by hand—blacksmiths, coppersmiths, cobblers, woodworkers and other artisans who supply the local farmers and shepherds with the wares of daily life.

Day 17 Kashgar

Place & Transport: Kashgar, Bus
Today's Activities: visit the Yengisar Knife-making village, oasis town of Yarkand

Detail Itinerary:
We continue our journey along the southern Silk Road. Stop at the Yengisar Knife-making village en route.Today’s drive is a long one (nine hours), but it’s on an excellent road and we’ll break the day up by stopping in the interesting oasis town of Yarkand. Yarkand was once an important stop on the caravan route. Here we’ll visit Yarkand King’s Tomb.

Day 18 Hotan/Minfeng

Place & Transport: Kashgar, Bus

Day 19 Minfeng/Korla: Place & Transport: Kashgar, Bus
Today's Activities: drive across the desert

Detail Itinerary:
Long drive (450 miles , 11 hours) across the desert highway takes us across the heart of the Taklamakan, the largest desert in China and the second largest in the world. En route we’ll have a photo stop at the starting point of Tarim Desert Highway and Tarim River Bridge. We’ll also see thousand –years old desert plant-the tamarisk trees.

Day 20 Korla/Urumqi: Place & Transport: Kashgar, Bus
