Day 2 Urumqi-Kashgar

Today's Activities: visit the Apaq Hoja Tomb, Sunday Bazaar, Old Town , Eidgah Mosque, Handcraft Street

Detailed Itinerary:
-The Apak Hoja Tomb Situated in a eastern suburb of Kashi city-Haohan village, the Apak Hoja Tomb is the key cultural relic preservation area in Xinjiang Autonomous Region. It is a Islamism Saint lineage mausoleum with classical Islam historic building style. It is said that there were 72 people buried in the grave, one of them was a princess of Emperor QianLong, hence it was named "the Apak Hoja Tomb"
-The Old Town Next to the mosque tightly,about 1000 kilometers long, gathering hundreds of manual workshops and vending booths. You can enjoy shopping all kinds of antiques there...
-Eidgar Mosque It is the largest mosque in China, full of strong ethnic and religious characteristics. Consisted of four main parts: the buddhist monastery turret, the garden, the scripture hall and the week palace, it is a sacred place and many pepole come here every year.
-Handicraft Street Located in the center of kashgar, having a population of 12.68 million, crossing streets, flexible layout, secluded spots, making it the onlly city blocks with islamic characteristics in China.

Day 3 Kashgar/Karakul Lake/Kashgar

Place & Transport: Kashgar-Karakul Lake-Kashgar, Bus
Today's Activities: trip to the Karakul Lake, Muztag Ata Peak, drive back to Kashgar

Detailed Itinerary:
In the morning we drive to the Karakul Lake, which is at the foot of Muztag-Ata Snow Peak, and the surface of water reflect the beauty of Muztag-Ata Snow, a sparkling glacial lake, surrounded by stunning rocky mountains, and snow-covered peaks as high as 7500m (the lake's at 3,600), at the water's edge you can walk around the lake (about 4 hours), or take a ride by pony, camel or motorbike, or just enjoy the scenery, then climb the Muztag Ata Peak. In the afternoon we drive back to Kashgar.

Day 4 Kashgar/Aksu

Today's Activities: visit the National Forest Park

In the morning drive to Aksu and we arrive in the afternoon.Tianshan Mountain enjoy a high reputation for its beautiful unusual nature sight, rich plant resources, plain sincere national minority culture. there are many types of trees in the garden, such as poplars, elms, willows, almonds...all of these vigorous old trees show various postures of their own.

Day 5 Aksu/Kuqa

Place & Transport: Aksu-Kuqa, Bus
Today's Activities: drive to Kuqa, visit the Charchi Yardan Landform, Kizil Grottoes

Detailed Itinerary:
-Charqi Yardan Landform It looks just like a building with colour of camel's hair, and there are small colourful hills besises, with groups herds in the sunset, you may wander whether you are in a beautiful picture.
-Kizil Grottoes
-Kizil Grottoes One of the earliest group of grottoes in China, sharing the reputation as “four bigest rock caves” , it is the earliest and the most west large-scale rock cave groups, dating back to 3 A.D, there are many strange but beautiful wall painting in the caves, which are of high scientific and artistic value.

Day 6 Kuqa

Place & Transport: Kuqa, Bus
Today's Activities: visit the Han Dynasty Beacon Tower, Grand Mosque, the Subashi Ancient City and Tian Shan Grand Canyon

Detailed Itinerary:
-the Han Dynasty Beacon Tower The tower was used to defence the enemy in the past for sending message by lighting a fire and smoke.Now, It has been a tourist resort and receive its visitors every day.
-Grand Mosque Located on the top of Heidunbaza, it is a place for local pepole to pray. It's time for apricots to ripe in June, Kuqa is the home of China white apricot, so we can enjoy the delicious food as you wish.
-the Subashi Ancient City The surrounding terrain is of great strategic and importance, it is said that in the ancient times, Subash was a city with the Kingdom of Women. Somes archaeologists even travel around from a distant.
-Tian Shan Grand Canyon Gathering the character of magical, majesty, grand, wonderful, vicious, and graceful, it is another bright pearl of the Silk Road, fulling of mystery.

Day 7 Kuqa/Korla

Place & Transport: Kuqa-Korla, Bus
Today's Activities: drive into the Desert Highway, visit the Taklamakan Desert, Desert plant - Tamarisk Forest, Tarim River Bridge

Detailed Itinerary:
-Tarim River Bridge Stretching about 2179 kilometers, the brige is located at the junction of Yaerrang river, Heitan river,Keshigeer river and Akesu river. Because the sediment from an iceberg is not stable,it is called "no rein horse".
-Desert plant - Tamarisk Forest A natural reserve ecosystem in Xinjiang Automous Region,for the purpose of protect the poplar forest. There are also many mammals in the reserve,such as wild camels, wild camels, horses, foxes, rabbits, wolves and so on...
-Taklamakan Desert Kalamakan is rich in mineral resources such as oil and gas. Oil is very important to Kalamakan that the petroleum is the supporting industry there. Hence we can see miles of oil fields when we drive across.

Day 8 Korla/Turpan

Place & Transport: Korla-Turpan, Bus
Today's Activities: visit the Iron Gate Pass, the Bostan lake, the Karez Irrigation System

Detailed Itinerary:
-the Iron Gate Pass It is the most important part of "Silk Road", because it is dangerous and solid, so it was named "Iron Gate Pass", meaning it is difficult to pass. It was one of twenty-six famous gates in ancient China, and there are many stories about this gate passed down from one generation to generation.
-Bostan lake It is the biggest freshwater lake in Xinjiang, high mountains around. In the spring time, the weather is changable, the reeds, birds, and lutos make the senery of the sunrise or sunset here fulling fill with poetic and artistic conception, so it is really a good place for the photographers to creat new works
-Karez Irrigation System A special irrigation system widely used in the wilderness area such as Xinjiang Turpan area. Together with the Great Wall and the Jinghang Big Canal, they were called the three largest projects in ancient times. The total number up to nearly one thousand, it spans approximately 5000 kilometers.

Day 9 Turpan/Urumqi

Today's Activities: visit the Ancient City of Jiaohe, the Grape Valley, the Emin Minaret, the Flaming Mountains

Detailed Itinerary:
-the Ancient City of Jiaohe It is the most ancient, the best completest preserved raw soil city in the world, it is also a urban relic preserved more than 2000 year in China, and is listed as the country key Cultural relic preservation in 1961, peploe have found some cultural treasures from the earth there.
-the Grape Valley Where all the villagers grow grapes. With its shady vineyards and trees, this provides a welcome place of relaxation amidst the hundreds of square miles of sand. You may take a seat under the vintage frames, savor various grapes, enjoy the beautiful Uyghur girls in their ornate costumes, and be fully intoxicated by this refreshing palace of grapes...
-the Emin Minaret it is a modelling unique Islamism style old tower, it is the biggest ancient tower in Xinjiang, the body of it is bluish gray color and height 44 meters, the tower footing diameter is 10 meters, the water chestnut standard grain and so on 15 geometric patterns, has the strong Islam architectural style.
-Flaming Mountains Because the body of mountain is shining just like the burning fire, so called it the Fiery Mountain, but it is different from the Multi-coloured bay, which is colourful instead. It is really a dazzling spot on the way trip.

Day 10 Urumqi

Today's Activities: visit the Heavenly Lake ( lake cruise included ), the International Grand Bazaar

Detailed Itinerary:
In the morning, we visit the Heavenly Lake, a very beautiful mountain lake formed more than million years ago in the 4th glacial epoch, so the water in it is pure and icy. The altitude of the lake is up to 2150 meters above the sea level and got its fame as the "jewel in the crown". To the east of the lake stands the Bogda Peak-the highest peak in the east part of Tian Shan Mountain, which is capped by glacier and snow glistening in the sun, finely contrasted with blue lake water, forming fabulous scenery,steep forested hills and high meadows with snow peaks behind. Cruise on the lake and enjoy the beautiful scenery, then in the afternoon, we the go to the International Grand Bazaar, a commercial circle gathering tourist, national business, dining, national art, retails.In 2004, it was selected as one of the “ten top-notch constructions” in Urumqi.
