Huaqing Hot Springs

A spring for an emperor and his favorite ladies
It is the spring where the Tang Emperor Xuanzong used to spend his wintertime in company with his favorite concubine Yang Yuhuan. Yang Yuhuan, who was recognized as one of the most enchanting ladies in ancient China, was spoiled by the Emperor and Emperor Xuanzong. Taizong built the luxurious palaces in this area for their personal pleasure and didn't deal the state affair anymore. At last, some of the palaces were destroyed by An Lushan, whose rebellion finally overthrew the reign of Emperor Taizong.

A spring created by nature
The present Huaqing Hot Spring was built on the base of the original relic of the Tang Dynasty. In the southeast part of the spring are the relic of Huan Garden and 5 halls where Jiang Jieshi lived in during the Xi’an Incident. In the northeast, there is a hot spring bathroom open to the tourists. The temperature of the water in Huaqing Hot Spring is 43℃ on average, with rich chemicals, thus suitable for resort.
