Century Holiday is seeking for online volunteers.

Are you interest in Chinese history, culture, ancient architecture, custom and beautiful scenic spots? Do you have a strong willing to step on this ancient but mysterious oriental country? Do you want to know what changes have been made during China’s 30 years’ reform? Just join in us and become a volunteer of TourdeChina, you might have the chance to realize your China Dream. Why do you be a volunteer?

In order to provide travel products which meet traveler’s need, we need you, native friends to tell us what you like, where you want to travel, what information you need when you traveling in China.

The program of TourdeChina aims to gather a team volunteer who interest in travelling to provide assistance in the website building. If you ever travelled in China, share your travel experiences; if you is to travel in China, tell us what kind of service you and your friends would like to receive; if you have enough spare time, visit our website and review the itinerary, if there any expression that bugs you, we appreciated that you can tell us to revise it.

Categories of your work

We offer volunteer work in the following categories. You may choose one or more areas based on your interests and the skills required.

English Editor

1. Proofreading articles and web pages, review article for :

1) Correct grammar, spelling, sentences structure and expressions mistakes

2) Give suggestions on Marketing Focus, content and etc.

2. Expression Evaluation project

1) Give suggestions on how to make the article or sentence native and understandable.

2) Tell us your overall evaluation of the essays we send to you.

Requirement

1) Excellent writing skills with English language

2) Ability to pay attention to details and editing

3) Ability to commit sufficient time on taking over a project and meet the deadline

4) Strong sense to the prevailing travel trends

5) Ability to operate the computer

Information Provision

1. Offer you assistance in our website community building.

Just log in the Community regularly, share your travel experience with others, and help visitors understand China and the service TourdeChina offering.

2. Give us suggestion on recent travel trend, what kind travel product may arouse traveler’s interest in your country.

3. Collect any non-copyright photos, video and audio footage taken in China that may interest to perspective travelers.

Requirement

1. Able to access the internet regularly( every week) and familiar with web community management and information gathering

2. Have strong sense of travel trend and traveler’s travel interest

3. Ability to commit sufficient time on this volunteer job

Product Consultant

To give your suggestion on the travel products we launched and the service we provides from a customer’s angle. You have to review our tour itineraries, the hotel we use in the tour, food and sightseeing spot in the itinerary and other suggestions.

Requirement

1. Excellent English written ability

2. Familiar with the travel product and the requirement of the travelers

3. Ability to commit sufficient time on taking over a project and meet the deadline

4. Able to access the internet regularly( every week)

5. Have strong sense of travel trend and traveler’s travel interest

Website Organizer

Tell us your opinion on our website and to test whether the website is well laid out and easy to navigate; check the organization and content of the website well throughout and complete; you also can tell us how to make the web page attract visitor’s eye-ball and meet western people’s mind( the layout, categories and picture and so on). You can also help us with test computer programs and systems.

Requirement:

1. Excellent English written skill

2. Ability to commit sufficient time on taking over a project and meet the deadline

3. Excellent computer skill and can operate certain software as Photoshop; have certain experience in website design.

4. Able to access the internet regularly( every week)

Any work created or edited by TourdeChina Volunteers, including proofreading, travel stories, travel comments/reviews, articles, audio/visual media and any other materials and work products submitted for inclusion in the work, where such relevant materials are created as a result of the referred work or activities, reports, plans, designs, and suggestions, will become the property of TourdeChina. TourdeChina will be the sole owner of all rights in and hold the complete and undivided copyright in such work. To the extent the work would qualify as work for hire the online employee does hereby transfer to TourdeChina the entire right, title and interest in and copyright of the work, any registrations and copyright applications relating thereto and any renewals and extensions thereof, and in and to all works based upon, derived from, or incorporating the work, and in and to all income, royalties, damages, claims and payments now or hereafter due or payable with respect thereto, and in and to all causes of action. A TourdeChina Volunteer warrants and presents to TourdeChina that he/she is the author or a contributing author of the work and that the work is original and has not been published before in any form, that it does not infringe upon any copyright of any other person and that he/she is the exclusive owner of the right herein conveyed to TourdeChina.
